Rauris Valley Museum

17 exhibition rooms featuring fascinating artifacts from the Rauris Valley. Discover how the first skis came to Rauris, how the Rauris Valley became the “Golden Valley of the Alps,” how Europe’s highest weather station was built on the Sonnblick—and what Ignaz Rojacher has to do with all of this—at the Valley Museum.

Guided tours for groups of 6 or more are available by appointment only through the Tourism Association (Tel. +43 6544 20022).

Winter Hours
The museum is closed in November and December!

The Kaprun National Park Gallery on the Kitzsteinhorn is a 360-meter-long informational tunnel that serves as the entrance to the observation deck. At six information stations, visitors can learn interesting facts about the Hohe Tauern, their formation and natural treasures, as well as the sophisticated cable car technology used in this high-alpine setting.
