Tauern cycle path

The cross-border Tauern Cycle Path runs directly through Taxenbach. The cycle tour starts in Krimml in Salzburger Land, passes numerous excursion destinations in the Hohe Tauern National Park and ends in Passau in Germany.

Good to know - Tauern Cycle Path:

  • Length: 270 km (Tauern cycle route) or 310 km (Krimml-Passau), total route
  • Cycle along the Salzach and Saalach rivers
